EGO-WRAPPIN’ is a Japanese duo formed in Osaka in 1996 by vocalist Yoshie Nakano and guitarist Masaki Mori. Their music draws on jazz, blues, rock and kayōkyoku, and they are known for songs including “Shikisai no Blues,” “Kuchibashi ni Cherry” and “Midnight Dejavu,” as well as the album Night Food. The annual Midnight Dejavu concert series began in 2001 and became closely associated with Tokyo Kinema Club. EGO-WRAPPIN’ have also brought their expanded band performances to major outdoor events, including Fuji Rock Festival.
