Elio e le Storie Tese are an Italian comedy-rock band formed in Milan in 1980. Their music draws on progressive rock, funk and pop, pairing intricate arrangements with satirical and absurdist lyrics. They are known for songs including “Servi della gleba” and “La terra dei cachi,” performed at the Sanremo Music Festival in 1996, and for the album Eat the Phikis. The band staged a farewell concert at Mediolanum Forum in Assago in December 2017, then extended its goodbye through the 2018 Tour d’Addio in theatres and arenas. After reuniting, they returned to Italian theatres in 2023 with Mi resta un solo dente e cerco di riavvitarlo, a concert-theatre production directed by Giorgio Gallione.
