Emo Nite in Des Moines

Emo Nite is an American event collective and party series founded in Los Angeles in 2014 by Morgan Freed, T.J. Petracca and Babs Szabo. Its DJ sets center on emo and pop-punk songs, particularly music associated with the 2000s scene. The first party took place at the Short Stop in Echo Park, and the event soon moved to the Echoplex. The collective later created Emo Nite Day at the Shrine Expo Hall and performed at Coachella in 2022. Emo Nite takes its DJ-led party beyond Southern California, staging events in New York and Chicago.
