Empire Of The Sun is an Australian electronic-pop duo formed in Sydney in 2007 by Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau. The debut album Walking on a Dream introduced the title track and “We Are the People,” while Ice on the Dune produced “Alive.” The duo debuted its live show at Parklife in Australia in 2009, then performed at Coachella in 2011. In 2013, it premiered the Ice on the Dune stage production at Vivid LIVE in the Sydney Opera House before taking the album on a world tour. The concert is a theatrical pop production led by singer and guitarist Luke Steele, supported by a live band and costumed dancers.
