Ethel Cain is the stage name and musical project of American singer-songwriter and producer Hayden Anhedönia, born in 1998 and raised in Florida. She writes dream pop, slowcore and gothic Americana, and is best known for the 2022 concept album Preacher’s Daughter and songs including “American Teenager” and “A House in Nebraska.” In 2022, Ethel Cain mounted the Freezer Bride Tour and opened North American dates on Florence and the Machine’s Dance Fever Tour. The Blood Stained Blonde Tour followed in 2023, and the Childish Behaviour Tour included headline concerts at the Roundhouse in London and SummerStage in New York in 2024. Her festival history includes performances at Coachella in Indio and Outside Lands in San Francisco.
