Artist
Extrabreit is a German rock band formed in Hagen in 1978, associated with punk and Neue Deutsche Welle. The band became known for songs including “Hurra, hurra, die Schule brennt,” “Polizisten” and its version of “Flieger, grüß mir die Sonne,” while the early albums Ihre größten Erfolge and Welch ein Land! – Was für Männer established its sharp, German-language style. After reuniting in 2002, Extrabreit began an annual series of year-end concerts in German clubs and theatres under the name Weihnachts-Blitztournee.
