Faisal Kapadia in Vancouver

Faisal Kapadia is a Pakistani singer from Karachi, best known as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the pop-rock band Strings. Formed in 1988, the group built its catalogue around songs including “Duur,” “Dhaani,” “Anjane” and “Najane Kyun.” After the band ended, he began recording under his own name, including “Phir Milenge” with Young Stunners. In 2008, Faisal Kapadia performed “Sar Kiye Yeh Pahar” with Strings during the first season of Coke Studio Pakistan. He remained the band’s concert vocalist until it disbanded in 2021, then returned to the program the following year to perform “Phir Milenge” with Young Stunners.
