Faun in Aschaffenburg

Faun is a German group formed in Munich in 1998 that plays pagan folk rooted in medieval music. The band combines vocals with instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, harp, nyckelharpa, flutes and percussion, and is known for songs including “Tanz mit mir,” “Walpurgisnacht” and “Federkleid,” as well as the albums Luna and Midgard. Faun performed at Wacken Open Air in 2013, bringing its acoustic instrumentation to a major metal festival. In subsequent years, the group toured material from Luna and Midgard in theatres and concert halls while also appearing at open-air folk and medieval events including Festival-Mediaval and Castlefest.
