Felipe Esparza in Fort Lauderdale

Felipe Esparza is a Mexican-American stand-up comedian and actor who was born in Sinaloa and raised in East Los Angeles. He became widely known after winning the seventh season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His recorded work includes They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You, Translate This and the bilingual special Bad Decisions, and he hosts the long-running What’s Up Fool? podcast. In 2010, his stand-up performances on Last Comic Standing carried him through the competition to the season title. He followed that televised run with They’re Not Gonna Laugh at You for Showtime and Translate This for HBO, while touring comedy clubs and theatres. Netflix later released Bad Decisions and Malas Decisiones, corresponding English- and Spanish-language performances by Felipe Esparza.
