Flavio Venturini in Rio de Janeiro

Flavio Venturini is a Brazilian singer, songwriter and keyboardist, born in Belo Horizonte in 1949. He played progressive rock with O Terço, helped form 14 Bis and became closely associated with the Clube da Esquina circle. His solo repertoire includes “Nascente,” “Todo Azul do Mar,” “Espanhola” and “Céu de Santo Amaro.” 14 Bis performed at the first Rock in Rio in 1985, when Venturini was still the group’s keyboardist and a lead vocalist. His later concerts carried songs from that band into his solo sets, and the Encontro Marcado project reunited him with 14 Bis and Sá & Guarabyra for a shared stage production built around their respective catalogs.
