Artist
Frances Yip is a Hong Kong Cantopop singer born in 1947. She began her recording career after winning TVB’s Sing Hong Kong contest in 1969 and is best known for “The Bund,” the theme song from the television drama of the same name, composed by Joseph Koo with lyrics by Wong Jim. Sydney Opera House is among the major concert halls in her international performance history. She has also performed at London Palladium, drawing on a repertoire recorded in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
