Francisco Céspedes in Santo Domingo

Francisco Céspedes is a Cuban singer-songwriter, born in Santa Clara in 1957, who established his solo career in Mexico. He writes Latin pop ballads, boleros and songs rooted in Cuban trova. Luis Miguel recorded his song “Pensar en ti” before Céspedes released his debut solo album, Vida loca, whose title track became his signature recording. Francisco Céspedes has performed at Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, presenting songs from Vida loca alongside material from his later records. His concert history also includes the joint shows that followed Armando un Pancho, his album with Mexican songwriter and pianist Armando Manzanero.
