Francois van Coke in Cape Town

Francois van Coke is a South African singer, songwriter and guitarist who performs Afrikaans alternative rock. He is also the frontman of Fokofpolisiekar and formerly led Van Coke Kartel. His solo career began with the 2015 album Francois van Coke, which included “Toe Vind Ek Jou,” his duet with Karen Zoid. The first Francois van Coke & Vriende concert took place at Pretoria’s Sun Arena in 2018, presenting his songs in an arena setting with invited South African musicians. A 2022 edition was held on the D-field at Loftus Versfeld, extending the concert series to stadium grounds. His full-band sets cover his solo catalogue and material associated with Fokofpolisiekar and Van Coke Kartel.
