G. Love & Special Sauce in Wichita

G. Love & Special Sauce is an American band formed in Philadelphia in 1993 by singer, guitarist and harmonica player Garrett Dutton, drummer Jeffrey Clemens and bassist Jim Prescott. Their music draws on blues, alternative rock and hip-hop rhythms, and their self-titled 1994 debut introduced the signature songs “Cold Beverage” and “Baby’s Got Sauce.” Later releases include Philadelphonic and Lemonade. The band performed at Woodstock ’99, then appeared at Bonnaroo in 2003 as its club and festival touring continued. In 2024, G. Love & Special Sauce marked three decades since the debut album with the 30th Anniversary Tour. G. Love leads the concerts on vocals, guitar and harmonica, supported by bass and drums. The repertoire regularly returns to “Cold Beverage” and “Baby’s Got Sauce.”
