Artist
Genesis are an English rock band formed at Charterhouse School in 1967 by Peter Gabriel, Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Anthony Phillips and Chris Stewart. Their progressive-rock period produced albums including Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. After Phil Collins became lead singer, the band developed a more concise pop-rock sound heard in “Follow You Follow Me,” “Turn It On Again” and “Invisible Touch.” The 1974-75 tour for The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway presented the album in full, supported by Peter Gabriel’s costumes and a synchronized slide show. The Invisible Touch tour later brought Genesis to Wembley Stadium for four consecutive concerts in 1987. They reunited for the 2007 Turn It On Again tour, whose final concert took place at Circus Maximus in Rome, then returned for The Last Domino? tour, ending its run at London’s O2 Arena in 2022.
