Gio Evan in Assisi

Gio Evan is an Italian singer-songwriter, poet and writer, born Giovanni Giancaspro in Molfetta in 1988. His work moves between indie pop, spoken word and literary performance; his catalogue includes the albums Biglietto di solo ritorno, Natura molta and Mareducato. He performed “Arnica” at the 2021 Sanremo Music Festival. The 2021 Sanremo Music Festival placed Gio Evan and “Arnica” in a nationally televised live setting. He later created Evanland, a recurring multidisciplinary event that brings concerts, poetry, talks and other forms of performance into the same programme.
