Gökhan Türkmen & Ajda Pekkan in Istanbul

Gökhan Türkmen is a Turkish pop singer-songwriter, born in Istanbul in 1983. His debut album, Büyük İnsan, was released in 2008, and he is also known for songs including “Çatı Katı,” “Biraz Ayrılık” and “Aşk Lazım.” Gökhan Türkmen has performed at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre, a prominent setting for his full-band concerts. He has also played Jolly Joker venues in Ankara and Antalya.

Ajda Pekkan is a Turkish pop singer and actress, born in 1946, whose recording career began in the 1960s. She is known for the Süperstar album series and songs including “Kimler Geldi Kimler Geçti,” “Hoşgör Sen” and “Yaz Yaz Yaz.” At the Eurovision Song Contest 1980, she represented Turkey with “Pet’r Oil” at the Nederlands Congresgebouw in The Hague. Her later live work has included headline concerts at the Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre in Istanbul.
