Hail The Sun in Philadelphia

Hail The Sun is an American post-hardcore band formed in Chico, California, in 2009. Their technically intricate rock is built around abrupt rhythmic shifts, melodic guitar lines and the vocals of drummer Donovan Melero. The band is known for albums including Wake, Culture Scars and New Age Filth, as well as songs such as “Human Target Practice,” “Glass: Half Empty” and “Domino.” Hail The Sun toured North America behind Mental Knife in 2018. They returned to the road for the New Age Filth Tour in 2021 and followed it with the Divine Inner Tension Tour in 2023, playing clubs and theatres on both runs. The group performs as a full band, and Donovan Melero sings lead while playing drums. That dual role is a central feature of Hail The Sun’s concert format. Their festival appearances have included Vans Warped Tour and Swanfest, the event founded by Dance Gavin Dance.
