Haley Heynderickx is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist based in Portland, Oregon, known for fingerpicked indie folk and closely observed lyrics. Her 2018 debut album, I Need to Start a Garden, includes “The Bug Collector,” “Oom Sha La La” and “Worth It”; she followed it with Seed of a Seed in 2024. In 2018, she performed “The Bug Collector,” “Oom Sha La La” and “Worth It” for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series in Washington. Later that year, she brought material from I Need to Start a Garden to the Newport Folk Festival.
