Heaven Shall Burn are a German metal band formed in Saalfeld, Thuringia, in 1996. Their music draws on metalcore and melodic death metal, pairing harsh vocals and heavy riffing with lyrics about social and political issues. Albums including Antigone, Iconoclast (Part 1: The Final Resistance), Veto and Of Truth and Sacrifice established songs such as “Endzeit” and “Voice of the Voiceless” in their catalogue. Bildersturm: Iconoclast II (The Visual Resistance) documents the band’s 2008 performance at Summer Breeze. In 2023, Heaven Shall Burn co-headlined a European tour with Trivium, supported by Obituary and Malevolence. The band has also performed at Wacken Open Air and appeared at Rock am Ring.
