Hot Tuna in Port Chester

Hot Tuna is an American blues-rock band formed in 1969 by Jefferson Airplane members Jorma Kaukonen and Jack Casady. Their music draws on acoustic country blues, folk and electric rock; key recordings include the live debut Hot Tuna, the album Burgers, their version of “Hesitation Blues” and Kaukonen’s instrumental “Water Song.” Kaukonen and Casady played their early sets at the New Orleans House in Berkeley, where performances were recorded for the band’s 1970 debut album. Over the following decades, Hot Tuna toured both as an acoustic duo and as an electric band. The 2023 Going Fishing Tour was billed as the farewell to the electric lineup, closing that chapter under the Hot Tuna name.
