Illiterate Light in Amagansett

Illiterate Light is an American alternative-rock duo formed in Harrisonburg, Virginia, by guitarist Jeff Gorman and drummer Jake Cochran. Their garage-rock sound is documented on the self-titled debut, Sunburned and Arches, and songs including “Better Than I Used To” and “Sometimes Love Takes So Long.” Early Illiterate Light tours included traveling by bicycle between performances and carrying their instruments with them. They later supported The Head and the Heart and Shakey Graves on tour, performing as a two-person setup in which Gorman plays guitar, Cochran uses a stand-up drum kit and both sing. They have also performed at Newport Folk Festival and Bonnaroo.
