Insane Clown Posse is an American hip-hop duo from Detroit, formed by Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope. Their horrorcore songs, face-painted personas and Dark Carnival mythology are developed across the Joker’s Cards album series, including Riddle Box, The Great Milenko and The Amazing Jeckel Brothers. “Hokus Pokus,” “Boogie Woogie Wu” and “Miracles” are among their best-known tracks. The Wicked Clowns from Outer Space Tour supported The Amazing Jeckel Brothers around the turn of the millennium. After performing at Woodstock ’99, the duo toured behind the companion albums Bizaar and Bizzar, establishing a live schedule that has repeatedly returned to clubs, theatres and festival grounds. The concerts feature Violent J and Shaggy 2 Dope rapping in character, backed by music drawn from the Dark Carnival catalogue. Spraying the Detroit soft drink Faygo is a longstanding part of the show, culminating in the concert ritual known as Faygo Armageddon. They established Hallowicked as an annual Halloween concert in 1994; in 2000, they launched the multi-day music and culture festival Gathering of the Juggalos.
