Interpol in Jackson

Interpol is an American rock band formed in New York City in 1997. They play taut post-punk and are known for the albums Turn On the Bright Lights and Antics, including the songs “Obstacle 1,” “PDA,” “Evil” and “Slow Hands.” In 2017, Interpol marked the debut album’s fifteenth anniversary by performing it in full on tour. Five years later, the band and Spoon co-headlined the Lights, Camera, Factions tour across North America. Interpol has performed at Coachella and Glastonbury and has returned to Barcelona for multiple editions of Primavera Sound.

Youth Lagoon is the musical project of American songwriter Trevor Powers, who began releasing music under the name in 2011. His dream pop and psychedelic pop first appeared on the album The Year of Hibernation, which includes “Montana,” “17” and “Cannons.” He later released Wondrous Bughouse, Savage Hills Ballroom and Heaven Is a Junkyard. In 2012, Youth Lagoon performed at Coachella and Pitchfork Music Festival while touring behind The Year of Hibernation. After a final run of shows in 2016, he set the project aside, then returned to the stage in 2023 following the release of Heaven Is a Junkyard, performing again as Youth Lagoon with a live band led by Trevor Powers.
