Isata Kanneh-Mason in London

Isata Kanneh-Mason is a British classical pianist, born in Nottingham in 1996, and the eldest of the Kanneh-Mason musical siblings. She is known for her 2019 debut album, Romance: The Piano Music of Clara Schumann, while Summertime explored American repertoire by composers including Samuel Barber and George Gershwin. Her BBC Proms debut in 2019 featured Clara Schumann’s Piano Concerto, performed with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at the Royal Albert Hall. She has since appeared as an orchestral soloist and recitalist, and her duo concerts with her brother, cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason, have included Carnegie Hall. Her solo recital work has also taken her to Wigmore Hall.
