Ismo Alanko in Muurame

Ismo Alanko is a Finnish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, born in Helsinki in 1960. He first became known as the singer and principal songwriter of Hassisen Kone, whose songs include “Rappiolla,” and later led Sielun Veljet. His solo catalogue includes the album Kun Suomi putos puusta and songs such as “Taiteilijaelämää.” In 2000, Hassisen Kone reunited for a concert at Laulurinne in Joensuu, a performance later released as 20 vuotta myöhemmin. Alanko subsequently returned to the stage with Sielun Veljet when the band reunited at Provinssirock in 2011.
