J.B.O. is a German comedy-metal band formed in Erlangen in 1989. The group is known for German-language parodies of rock and pop songs, original comic material and a pink visual identity. Its best-known releases include the albums Explizite Lyrik and Meister der Musik, as well as songs such as “Ein guter Tag zum Sterben” and “Bolle.” The band gave its first concert at a newcomer festival in 1989 and developed its repertoire around a full rock-band format and comedy between songs. Later festival performances included Summer Breeze Open Air and Wacken Open Air.
