Jaga Jazzist in Oslo

Jaga Jazzist are a Norwegian instrumental ensemble formed in Tønsberg in 1994 by Lars Horntveth. Their music draws on jazz, electronic music, post-rock and progressive rock, heard across albums including A Livingroom Hush, What We Must, One-Armed Bandit, Starfire and Pyramid. The band performed at Roskilde Festival and Glastonbury Festival as its audience expanded beyond Norway. In 2012, Jaga Jazzist joined the Britten Sinfonia for an orchestral concert commissioned for the London Jazz Festival; the performance was later issued as Live with Britten Sinfonia, documenting the collaboration at the Barbican.
