Jake Hoot is an American country singer-songwriter who won season 17 of NBC’s The Voice in 2019 on Kelly Clarkson’s team. Raised partly in the Dominican Republic before settling in Tennessee, he is known for the original finale song “Better Off Without You” and his duet with Clarkson, “I Would’ve Loved You.” In 2019, he opened his run on the competition with Luke Combs’s “When It Rains It Pours” and performed “Better Off Without You” during the finale. He then made his Grand Ole Opry debut in 2020.
