James Acaster in Belfast

James Acaster is an English stand-up comedian and writer, born in Kettering in 1985. He is known for the four-part Netflix collection Repertoire, the special Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999 and television appearances on Taskmaster and Would I Lie to You? His books include Classic Scrapes and Perfect Sound Whatever. At the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he received five consecutive Edinburgh Comedy Award nominations between 2012 and 2016. The linked shows Recognise, Represent, Reset and Recap were later collected as Repertoire and released by Netflix in 2018. He followed them with Cold Lasagne Hate Myself 1999, recorded at EartH in Hackney, and later toured Hecklers Welcome, whose structure allows audience interruptions to become part of the performance.
