Jana Kirschner in Zobor

Jana Kirschner is a Slovak singer-songwriter born in Martin in 1978. She first became widely known through pop songs including “Modrá” and “V cudzom meste,” then expanded her catalogue with the albums Shine, Krajina rovina and the two-part Moruša project, drawing on folk and jazz as well as pop. In the 2010s, Kirschner took the Moruša project into concert halls across Slovakia and the Czech Republic, presenting its folk-rooted songs with an ensemble of instrumentalists. Her festival history also includes repeated performances at Pohoda in Trenčín.
