Janet Jackson in Sandringham

Janet Jackson is an American singer, songwriter, dancer and actor, born in Gary, Indiana, in 1966. Her pop and R&B work includes the albums Control, Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation 1814, janet. and The Velvet Rope, as well as songs such as “Nasty,” “Rhythm Nation,” “That’s the Way Love Goes” and “Together Again.” The Rhythm Nation World Tour 1990 was her first headlining tour, bringing the ensemble choreography of the Rhythm Nation 1814 era into arenas. The Janet World Tour and The Velvet Rope Tour followed, and HBO broadcast a performance from the latter at Madison Square Garden. The Together Again Tour began in 2023 and returned her to an extensive North American arena itinerary. The United States has accounted for much of her concert schedule, while her international tours have also included Japan and the United Kingdom. In 2019, she staged the Metamorphosis residency at Park Theater in Las Vegas.
