Jason Schmidt is an American actor and singer known for originating the role of Sodapop Curtis in the Broadway musical The Outsiders. He also appeared as Buddy Aldridge in the television musical series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies; The Outsiders later won the Tony Award for Best Musical. The 2023 world premiere of The Outsiders at La Jolla Playhouse featured Schmidt as Sodapop. He remained with the production for its Broadway transfer, opening at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in 2024.
