Jay Leno is an American stand-up comedian and television host, born in New Rochelle, New York, in 1950. He is best known for hosting NBC’s The Tonight Show from 1992 to 2009 and again from 2010 to 2014, and for the automotive series Jay Leno’s Garage. The Comedy Store was among the Los Angeles clubs where he developed his act in the 1970s, and in 1977 he made his first appearance on The Tonight Show with a stand-up set. He kept performing observational stand-up while hosting the program, taking his material to theatres and casino showrooms around the United States. For decades, his Sunday-night sets at the Comedy & Magic Club in Hermosa Beach gave him a recurring room for working on jokes.

Cristela Alonzo is an American stand-up comedian, actor and writer, born in Texas in 1979. She created, wrote, produced and starred in the ABC sitcom Cristela, becoming the first Latina to fill all four roles on her own US prime-time comedy. She also voiced Cruz Ramirez in Pixar’s Cars 3, while her stand-up has been featured in the Netflix specials Lower Classy and Middle Classy. Netflix released Lower Classy in 2017 and Middle Classy in 2022, documenting two stages of her work as a touring comedian. Both are solo sets centered on family, money, class and her Mexican-American upbringing. A Cristela Alonzo headline show is a solo stand-up set built around personal storytelling.
