Jazz Sabbath in Arnhem

Jazz Sabbath is a British instrumental jazz project launched in 2020 by pianist Adam Wakeman, a longtime keyboardist for Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne. The group recasts songs including “Iron Man,” “Paranoid” and “Changes” as piano-led jazz, while the albums Jazz Sabbath and Vol. 2 develop a fictional story in which the compositions were stolen from an earlier jazz trio. Jazz Sabbath brought this repertoire to jazz clubs, arts centres and theatres across Britain and continental Europe. The concerts use piano, bass and drums for instrumental arrangements of the Black Sabbath songbook, and Wakeman presents the set in the role of fictional pianist Milton Keanes.
