Jessica Mauboy in Brisbane

Jessica Mauboy is an Australian pop and R&B singer and actor from Darwin who first attracted national attention as the runner-up on Australian Idol in 2006. Her debut solo album, Been Waiting, included “Burn”; later songs include “Inescapable,” “Never Be the Same” and “Fallin’.” She also starred in the film The Sapphires. In 2012, she and Stan Walker co-headlined the Galaxy Tour around Australia. She followed it with the To the End of the Earth Tour after releasing Beautiful, then took All the Hits Live through Australian theatres in 2017. The Boss Lady Tour followed in 2022. At the Eurovision Song Contest, she appeared as an interval performer in Copenhagen in 2014 and represented Australia with “We Got Love” in Lisbon in 2018.
