Joan Jett & the Blackhearts are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1979 around singer and guitarist Joan Jett. Their best-known recordings include “I Love Rock ’n Roll,” “Bad Reputation,” “Crimson and Clover” and “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” In 1982, the band opened for Queen on dates of the Hot Space Tour. They later supported The Who on the North American leg of The Who Hits 50! in 2015. In 2022, they played stadiums on The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Mötley Crüe and Poison.
