Joan Osborne is an American singer-songwriter, born in Anchorage in 1962 and raised in Kentucky, whose music draws on rock, blues, soul and folk. She is best known for “One of Us” and the album Relish, which also includes “St. Teresa” and “Right Hand Man.” Her catalogue extends to soul interpretations, original roots-rock records and Songs of Bob Dylan. She joined the Lilith Fair tour in 1997, then toured as a vocalist with The Dead in 2003, performing songs associated with the Grateful Dead alongside members of the band. Her later theatre concerts have included performances devoted to Songs of Bob Dylan.
