Joel Paterson in Evanston

Joel Paterson is an American guitarist and steel-guitar player based in Chicago whose music draws on jazz, blues, western swing and rockabilly. He has performed with Devil in a Woodpile and the Modern Sounds, and his solo records include Hi-Fi Christmas Guitar and Let It Be Guitar! Joel Paterson Plays the Beatles. Devil in a Woodpile held a long-running Tuesday-night residency at the Hideout, giving Paterson a durable place in the city’s roots-music circuit. His own groups have also performed at the Green Mill, while his seasonal concerts have brought the repertoire of Hi-Fi Christmas Guitar to SPACE in Evanston.
