Artist
John Anderson is an American country singer-songwriter, born in 1954 in Apopka, Florida. His traditional honky-tonk style became widely known through songs including “Swingin’,” “Wild and Blue,” “Straight Tequila Night” and “Seminole Wind,” the title track of one of his central albums. In the early 1970s, John Anderson moved to Nashville and sang in local clubs while taking construction jobs, experience that preceded his recording career. He later performed at the Grand Ole Opry and toured theaters, fairs and country festivals. The Ryman Auditorium also hosted a concert built around the tribute album Something Borrowed, Something New, where Eric Church, Luke Combs and Gillian Welch performed his songs and John Anderson took the stage.
