Jon Secada in Recife

Jon Secada is a Cuban-American pop and Latin pop singer-songwriter, born in Havana in 1961 and raised in Miami. His self-titled 1992 debut established him through songs including “Just Another Day,” “Angel” and “Do You Believe in Us,” while the Spanish-language album Otro Día Más Sin Verte introduced the same repertoire to Latin pop audiences. Before releasing his solo debut, Jon Secada toured as a backing singer for Gloria Estefan. He later added musical theatre to his live work, appearing in Grease in 1995, and returned to Broadway in 2003 for Cabaret.
