José Madero in San Luis Potosí City

José Madero is a Mexican singer-songwriter born in Monterrey in 1980. He first became known as the lead vocalist and principal lyricist of the rock band PXNDX, whose catalog includes “Los malaventurados no lloran” and “Narcisista por excelencia.” After the band went on hiatus, he began a solo career with the album Carmesí, followed by records including Noche, Alba, Psalmos, Giallo and Sarajevo. The Carmesí Tour established his solo concert work through performances across Mexico after the album’s release. He later mounted the Giallo Fantastique Tour, a theatre and arena run that concluded in 2023 at Arena Ciudad de México.
