Jungle Rot is an American death-metal band formed in Kenosha, Wisconsin, in 1992 and led by vocalist and guitarist Dave Matrise. The group plays groove-driven old-school death metal, documented on albums including Dead and Buried, Fueled by Hate, What Horrors Await and Kill on Command. Jungle Rot performed on the touring Mayhem Festival in 2015, taking its compact, riff-centered live set to amphitheaters across the United States. The band later appeared at the revived Milwaukee Metal Fest in 2023, returning to a Wisconsin event closely associated with American underground metal.
