Artist
Kanji Ishimaru is a Japanese actor and singer, born in 1965 in Ehime Prefecture. He is known for musical-theatre roles in The Phantom of the Opera and Aspects of Love, as well as for playing Keiji Asano in the television drama Hanzawa Naoki. In 1990, he made his Shiki Theatre Company debut as Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera. During his years with the company, he went on to play leading roles including Alex in Aspects of Love; after leaving Shiki, his stage work included the title roles in Jekyll & Hyde and Love Never Dies.
