Artist
Kaori Kishitani is a Japanese singer-songwriter and musician, born in Hiroshima in 1967 and best known as the vocalist of the all-female band Princess Princess. She joined the group that began as Akasaka Komachi and later took the Princess Princess name; its signature songs include “Diamonds,” “M” and “Sekai de Ichiban Atsui Natsu.” She has also released music as a solo artist, initially under her former name Kaori Okui. Princess Princess performed at Nippon Budokan during its original run, then reunited in 2012 for benefit concerts supporting recovery after the Great East Japan Earthquake, including shows at Tokyo Dome. In her solo work, Kaori Kishitani has toured Japanese halls with KAORI PARADISE, a concert series centered on her singing, piano and acoustic guitar.
