Karla Bonoff in Rockport

Karla Bonoff is an American singer-songwriter born in Santa Monica, California, in 1951. Her folk-rock and soft-rock writing became widely known through songs including “Someone to Lay Down Beside Me,” “Lose Again,” “Home” and “All My Life,” recorded by artists such as Linda Ronstadt and Bonnie Raitt. Bonoff also recorded her own material on albums including Karla Bonoff and Restless Nights, and scored a solo hit with “Personally.” The 2007 concert album Karla Bonoff Live documented her songbook in performance, including compositions associated with both her own records and other singers. She continues to play theatres and listening rooms, appearing in intimate duo concerts with guitarist Nina Gerber.
