Karrin Allyson is an American jazz singer and pianist, born in Great Bend, Kansas, in 1963. She is known for interpreting standards, bebop, Brazilian music and French chanson on albums including From Paris to Rio, Ballads: Remembering John Coltrane, Wild for You and Imagina: Songs of Brasil. She began her performing career in the jazz clubs of Kansas City, singing, leading small ensembles and playing piano. After moving to New York in 1998, she brought that club-based format to engagements at Birdland and the Blue Note.
