Karussell in Seeheilbad Graal-Müritz

Karussell is a German rock band formed in Leipzig in 1976 and closely associated with East Germany’s Ostrock scene. Its best-known songs include “Als ich fortging,” “Autostop” and “Ehrlich will ich bleiben,” while albums such as Entweder oder established its melodic, keyboard-led rock sound. In 2007, founding keyboardist Wolf-Rüdiger Raschke returned Karussell to the stage after the group’s original run had ended in 1991. The new lineup brought the earlier repertoire back to theatres and concert halls, and the band marked its 40th anniversary with a celebratory concert in Leipzig.
