Goran Bregović in Koszalin

Goran Bregović is a Bosnian composer, guitarist and bandleader born in Sarajevo in 1950. He was the guitarist and principal songwriter of the rock band Bijelo Dugme, and later became known for his music for Emir Kusturica’s films Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dream and Underground. “Ederlezi” and “Kalashnikov” are among the pieces most closely associated with his solo repertoire. Following his soundtrack work in the 1990s, Goran Bregović took the Wedding and Funeral Orchestra to theatres and festivals on international tours. In 2005, he reunited with Bijelo Dugme for stadium concerts that included Zagreb and Belgrade, then returned to touring his own catalogue. He later brought the Wedding and Funeral Orchestra to the Royal Albert Hall in London.
