Kayah in Warsaw

Kayah is a Polish singer, songwriter and producer, born in Warsaw in 1967, whose music draws on pop, soul, jazz and Balkan folk. Her solo catalogue includes the albums Kamień and Zebra, while her collaboration with Goran Bregović produced Kayah i Bregović and the songs “Prawy do lewego” and “Śpij kochanie, śpij.” She is also known for “Supermenka” and “Testosteron.” Kayah and Goran Bregović took their 1999 album onto concert stages and later reunited for further performances. In 2007, she released the concert album MTV Unplugged, documenting acoustic arrangements of her repertoire. Her festival history also includes repeated performances at the National Festival of Polish Song in Opole.
